Newton Area Railroads

Hosted at the Southeastern Narrow Gauge and Shortline Museum in Newton, NC, the Newton Area Railroads feed is currently the longest lasting radio feed on the eastern end of the NS S-Line.

The feed is run with a Traintenna mounted 49′ in the air, a 50′ run of LMR400, and a Narrowbanded Kenwood TM-281A.  

Morganton Area Railroads

Currently hosted near the 76 Milepost, the Morganton Area Railroads radio feed one of three current feeds offering coverage on the S-Line.

The feed is run with a Tram 1487 antenna mounted 25′ in the air, a 50′ run of RG-213U coax, and a Uniden BC355N.

Catawba County Sheriff, Conover and Newton Police Dispatch

Currently hosted at an undisclosed location, the Catawba County Sheriff, Conover and Newton Police Dispatch feed is the first online feed scanning law talkgroups on the new NC Viper radio network in Catawba County.  The feed scans for 11 talk groups and listens in on the Anderson Mountain Viper site on the Southeastern corner of Catawba County.

The feed is run with a simple 800Mhz omni-directional antenna and a Uniden BCD996T digital scanner.

The feed is run with a simple omni-directional antenna and a Uniden BCT15X analog scanner.
